While most veterinarians are dedicated to the humane, lawful, and caring treatment of animals, there are those out there who place profits above their patients. Veterinary malpractice is seldom talked about and seldom punished because animals are considered property under the law. Negligent vets likely face nothing more than a fine and a slap on the wrist for the death of a beloved pet.
Today, Carrie has invited Scott Fine to speak on how he took a stand and created Joey’s Legacy to advocate for victims of veterinary malpractice. He decided it’s time to change our laws to recognize the true value of our pets and finally hold vets accountable.
